Environmental Health Officer, Bury Pay rate, £20.31 per hour Role Purpose: - Bury Council are looking for an Environmental Health Officer/Environmental Protection Officer/ Environmental Enforcement Officer to carry out the five yearly risk assessments with associated sampling for 12 x Regulation 10 and 5x Regulation 9 Private Water supplies in accordance with The Private Water Supplies (England) Regulations 2016 as amended. To comply with these regulations, we require that risk assessments and associated sampling is carried out in accordance with European standard EN 15975-2 entitled “Security of Drinking Water Supply - Guidelines for Risk and Crisis Management – Risk Management”.The officer must have significant recent working experience of Private Water Supply regulation and specifically risk assessments and sampling in accordance with the relevant regulations and the European standard described above.Following the risk assessment and sampling work we may need the same officer to carry out any resulting enforcement work.
