As our a Principal Geotechnical Engineer, with expertise in offshore geotechnical environments, to include survey & site investigation. You will oversee complex site investigations across the globe, working with leaders in offshore energy—from wind to hydrocarbon extraction and carbon sequestration. Your experience in site planning, supervision, and detailed data analysis will help guide projects from start to finish. Bonus points if you have deep foundations, offshore piles, or geohazard assessment experience. You will lead a team, manage client relationships, and collaborate with internal experts—helping us shape the future of the offshore energy industry. Your Role as a Principal Geotechnical Engineer: Lead and guide the team in all geotechnical phases—from planning and investigation to design and construction. Ensure geotechnical deliverables are completed on time and within budget. Provide mentorship and technical support to junior engineers, fostering growth and excellence. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design groups, contractors, and clients, to drive project success. Take charge of scoping, preparing proposals, and generating accurate estimates. Manage project-based engineering teams, delivering projects independently from standard to moderate complexity. Oversee field and laboratory operations, troubleshooting and conducting key technical testing. Review and supervise lower-level engineers' calculations, reports, and instructions to ensure quality and precision. Independently evaluate and develop foundation soil parameters. Stay on top of project budgets, schedules, and performance, meeting key KPIs. Assist with invoicing and contribute to the training of emerging engineers. Prepare comprehensive engineering proposals and set project pricing. Maintain the highest standards of quality and adhere to Health, Safety & Environment guidelines. Represent and promote our company services, strengthening our market presence. The Ideal Candidate: Hold a Master’s Degree (or higher) in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field. Bring Senior/Principal-level experience as a Geotechnical Engineer, with offshore survey & site investigation experience. Have proven team management experience (leading at least 4 direct reports). Possess a strategic mindset that allows you to shape, direct, and influence projects for optimal results. Demonstrate exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Excel at stakeholder management and communication, confidently managing and influencing both external clients and internal teams.
