Then we have an exciting opportunity for an Inventory Technician to join our Inventory Control & Quality Assurance team on Week 1 Days. Based at our Castle Donington Distribution Centre which at 900,000 square feet is split into 3 chambers with a mix of automated and manual operations delivering around two million single items a week during peak. Castle Donington provides invaluable support to both our online and retail operations.
This role is responsible for ensuring that the inventory is available within our warehouse and providing our Warehouse Operations teams with data, advice and support to ensure customer service levels are attained and exceeded. Enabling us to fulfil orders placed via M&S websites or for replenishment to stores/franchises to deliver the best possible customer experience.
This role works a 12-hour shift pattern details of which are included in the Job Profile, this includes weekends and Bank holidays, the hours are 6:00am to 18:00pm.

What you’ll do
Your key accountabilities will include:
* Regularly track, monitor and update inventory levels to ensure accuracy and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
* Accurately record and maintain inventory data in Warehouse Management Systems and Warehouse Control Systems.
* Keep detailed records of inventory transactions, adjustments, and discrepancies. Generate regular reports for analysis.
* Conduct periodic audits of inventory to identify discrepancies, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions.
* Carry out problem solving as required. Identify and address any issues related to inventory management, such as discrepancies, stockouts, or surplus inventory.
Who you are
Your skills and experience will include:
* Experience of WMS systems, interrogation and inventory processes.
* A good understanding of Excel and Microsoft package.
* Strong organisational skills, an analytical approach to problem solving and an eye for detail.
* To be confident communicating at all levels with different internal business partners from various departments.
* Able to work completely unsupervised when the need arises, remain calm under pressure and be flexible around your workload to ensure the operational requirements of the role are met.
