The appointee will be responsible for the care of patients referred by general practitioners and all departments and will undertake clinics, ward rounds and operating lists 'programmed activities' as appropriate. We are looking for a dynamic individual who wishes to develop this service to deal with the high demand in a timely and efficient manner.
There is a combination of scheduled and flexible PAs within the timetable. Clinical activity linked with that of various wards or clinics, multidisciplinary team and other colleagues.Consultant colleagues will be happy to offer clinical support and guidance to ensure the successful candidate is well supported especially in the first year of appointment.
The appointee will have shared office facilities with a personal laptop, facilitating access to the Trust electronic patient record (EPR) and imaging (PACS) systems, hospital intranet and internet resources plus secretarial support. The team works closely with a Performance Manager who also supports the Paediatric Unit.
