Senior Children's Residential Support Worker
Location: Liverpool
Salary: £27,500 - £28,700 per annum + £3,000 - £6,000 sleep-in allowance
Hours: Full-time, long day shifts + sleep-ins
Are you an experienced, compassionate, and resilient Senior Children's Support Worker ready to make a difference? Join our client's family home in Liverpool, supporting young people with severe learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs - some of whom are non-verbal.
In this rewarding role, you'll provide encouragement, patience, and understanding, inspiring your team to deliver exceptional outcomes.
What You'll Do:
1. Provide nurturing care, including personal support tailored to each child's needs.
2. Lead a team to create a safe, therapeutic environment that fosters growth and positive development.
3. Support the Service Manager in delivering high-quality care and managing daily operations.
4. Act as a role model, building trusting relationships that promote recovery and lasting change.
5. Record observations, create care plans, and track progress with professionalism and care.
What We're Looking For:
1. Essential: Minimum 12 months' experience in a children's home + Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare (reflected in your pay).
2. Knowledge of child-centered, therapeutic approaches.
3. Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
4. Naturally caring, flexible, and resilient with a passion for supporting young people.
5. Ability to work shifts, including sleep-ins.
6. Desirable: Makaton, BSL, or similar experience; full UK driving licence.
