Manufacturing Services Manager

Location: Derby (5 days on site per week)
We have an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Services Manager to join the Precision Manufacturing Facility (PMF) team in Derby. In this role, you will provide leadership and coaching to a team of Maintenance Technicians and Manufacturing Services Engineers to support the PMF manufacturing site. You will be accountable for the performance and results of your team, delivering both day-to-day support for the facility whilst also deploying the longer-term strategic direction for the Manufacturing Services function.

What you will be doing:
In this role, you will lead and coach a team of Manufacturing Services Technicians and Manufacturing Services Engineers on technical and performance aspects to ensure effective deployment of team focus in line with business targets. You will also:
1. Ensure that agreed performance targets for all Manufacturing Services accountable activities are enacted to the required standard and monitored using standard tools and KPIs, and ensure appropriate actions are taken where gaps to targets exist.
2. Implement the Company Health, Safety and Environment policy in all aspects of Manufacturing Services, understanding and deploying all legislative requirements and control standards through effective communication, processes, and actions that support safe and compliant workplaces and equipment.
3. Input into the development of, and take ownership of, your budget, applying business acumen to achieve financial objectives and deliver cost savings ensuring the function provides value for money.
4. Ensure that all Manufacturing Services personnel are appropriately resourced, trained, and developed using company standard processes.

4. Experience leading transformation projects and familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma and Lean (Green and/or Black belt desirable but not mandatory).
5. Experience delivering manufacturing facility-wide projects.
