Our long standing and well-respected client based on the outskirts of St Albans are looking for a part-time Financial Controller to join a close knit and friendly team.
The Financial Controller will be expected to be hands-on within the finance function, providing support across the organisation. You may need to “get into the work” sometimes, helping out when needed with some of the administrative tasks, but it’s a mindset around doing what is needed to get the job done!
This is 2 days per week, office based. There is scope for more hours and responsibility as the business grows!
What’s in it for you:
· Salary: Up to £50,000 pro rata, based on experience

Key Responsibilities:
· Operate the general ledger.
· Prepare and post month-end journals, including accruals and prepayments.
· Prepare monthly reconciliations.
· Prepare accurate and time VAT and Intrastat.
· Support the year-end process and liaise as appropriate.
What the client is looking for:
· Xero experience essential.
· Experienced Financial Controller or similar, and ideally AAT Qualified.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Highly detail orientated and organised.
· Excellent IT Skills.
· Ability to manage workload and reprioritise to meet deadlines.
