OpCourage North of England provides Veterans Mental Health and Wellbeing services to Veterans and their families across the North of England.
We are looking to recruit a motivated and experienced mental health clinician to our central Single Point of Access Team.
Main duties of the job
The OpCourage Single Point of Access is designed to provide a seamless entry point for Veterans to access mental health and wellbeing services.
Clinicians will start a holistic triage and assessment process to identify and understand the mental health and wellbeing needs of veterans.

Qualifications and Experience
* Professional Qualification and current Professional Registration as a First Level Registered Nurse (RNMH, RMN)
* Evidence of post-registration training in clinical/psychological interventions/skills relevant to the post.
* Proven track record of post-registration clinical experience relevant to the post.
* Preceptorship training
* Training in CPA, Safeguarding, MAPPA, and Child Protection.
* Up-to-date knowledge/experience of relevant legislation.
* Knowledge of key concepts of psychological formulation and holistic mental health assessment.
* Knowledge and understanding of Veterans specific mental health and wellbeing challenges.
* Evidence of working in large, complex organisations.
Knowledge
* Awareness of professional accountability, NMC standards, and other local and national initiatives.
* 12 to 24 months band 5 qualified nurse experience dependent upon service need.
* Clinical leadership.
Skills
* Excellent communication skills and commitment to multi-agency teamwork.
* Comprehensive skills for continuous assessment of risks/safety planning skills.
* Ability to carry out and provide comprehensive written assessments of individuals with complex mental health needs.
* Ability to work autonomously and within a team.
* Ability to provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
* Experience of working within a community mental health setting.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
