Position: Learning Coach - Business
Hours: 18.5 hours per week
Contract: Fixed Term - 31/07/25
We are looking for a motivated, engaging, and energetic individual to join the Business team.
The successful candidate will provide emotional, social, and academic support to learners to enable them to cope with and/or overcome the barriers they face towards their education as a result of prolonged lockdown periods during Covid outbreaks. A key focus of the role will be centred around learner health and wellbeing.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide support to learners in overcoming barriers to learning.
2. Engage learners in developing programmes to support their learning.
3. Manage sensitive situations and deal with challenging learner behaviour.
4. Work proactively both individually and as part of a team.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a relevant degree, NVQ, or have equivalent professional experience and have previously used techniques to support learners in overcoming barriers to learning. They should also have a proven track record of engaging learners.

Lecturing posts will require a teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE) or the willingness to attain one within a specified period of time.
