Protocol Education are looking for an Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to work in a vibrant nursery in North Bristol. The nursery are committed to providing a nurturing environment through play-based learning. Their aim is to provide each child with a hand to hold as they take their first steps in their education journey, and providing them with the skills to achieve everything they want.
About the Role
The Level 3 practitioner role will be working part-time in the baby room setting. The relevant qualifications in early years – NNEB, NVQ Level 3+ (Childcare & Education), BTEC (Childcare) or equivalent, or higher qualification such as QTS, Foundation Degree or BA Hons in early years education or child development is essential for this role
The role includes:
* Looking after and monitoring babies from six months old
* Help plan, organise and deliver activities to individuals or small groups of children to aid early development
* Knowledge of birth-to-five matters pathway
* Undertake shared responsibility with all staff for the care and maintenance of equipment and resources.
* Feedback information of children’s progress in and outside of the classroom to other practitioners and parents
* Knowledge of key nutrition requirements for young babies, including baby-led weaning
* Act as a key worker to a small group of children
* Collect video and photo observations, and write learning journeys
* Provide hygiene and self-care support to the children
* Carry out classroom organisational duties such as tidying up, mounting and removing classroom displays, serving snacks etc.

Pay rate is dependent on experience & qualifications.
