Commercial Sales Consultant
Permanent – Full Time (37.5 hours per week)
Salary Starting from £42,500.00 + Bonus + Company Car/Car Allowance

firmus energy networks is responsible for the construction and operation of a gas network of over 2,200km through more than 30 cities, towns and villages across Northern Ireland.
An exciting role has become available within the Industrial and Commercial sector of our business. The role
Reporting to the Director of Sales, Marketing and Customer Services the Commercial Sales Consultant will grow the Industrial & Commercial sector in our licensed area, which stretches from Warrenpoint, through Newry, Craigavon, Antrim, Ballymena, Coleraine and up to Derry / Londonderry. They will work with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders to ensure commercial growth targets are delivered, customer expectations are exceeded, and all customers (new and existing) are supported with plans to transition to a lower carbon future.
The Commercial Sales Consultant must be focused on the commercial objectives of firmus energy networks and possess the drive and motivation to achieve ambitious growth targets. The successful candidate must be professional in outlook, demonstrate strong communication and influencing skills and be truly customer focused.

Main duties and responsibilities
Key Priorities
* Deliver agreed growth targets
* Manage relationships with commercial customers
* Gain and maintain a thorough knowledge of firmus energy’s network capabilities and our plans to transition to a lower carbon future
* Support commercial customers with their plans to transition to a lower carbon future
* Gain and maintain a thorough understanding of evolving technologies in which gas can be utilised
* Have a good understanding of industry and government publications, initiatives and incentives in relation to ‘net zero’
* Conduct presentations to external stakeholders, including new and existing customers
Responsibilities
* Identify target customers for gas connection opportunities
* Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure the smooth progress of I&C connection projects.
* Represent and promote firmus energy at meetings with customers and other stakeholder groups, including local MLAs, Councils ,Chambers of Commerce etc.
* Keep abreast of latest developments in the wholesale gas market and competing fuel prices
* Grow and maintain knowledge on the use and production of gas via technologies such as Anaerobic Digestion, CHP, industrial & commercial boilers and process plant, catering, as well as energy efficiency equipment
* Develop and manage the local installer network
* Ensure compliance with internal and external procedures (e.g. Health & Safety, Quality and Record Management)
* Contribute to the ongoing development of the organisation through participation in meetings, employee forums and continuous improvement initiatives

Desired Criteria
* Technical training and professional sales training.
Required Criteria
* At least 3 years sales experience in a Business to Business environment, or technical sales, preferably within the energy sector
* A successful track record in meeting or exceeding sales targets in a Business to Business environment
* Analytical mindset and be proficient in CRM tools and Microsoft Office suite
* Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work on own initiative and to prioritise workload
* Full UK Driving licence
* Strong organizational and time management skills
