EQUANS is looking for an Accounts Payable Team Lead to join our team based in Quorum Business Park, Newcastle on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
You will lead a team in delivering an effective, efficient, best in class procure to pay service including all aspects of invoice processing and recording of financial transactions, accounts payable activities in a high-volume transaction services environment and in line with agreed SLAs.

As a member of our Shared Services team, you will have the ability to work flexibly from our brand-new office space at the Quorum Business Park for 2 days each week, with 3 days at home. What will you deliver?
* Lead, manage and support the Accounts Payable team ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounts payable process.
* Oversee, review and authorise the payment of non-PO invoice payments.
* Manage the OCR solution including appropriate levels of validation are carried out on a regular basis.
* Ensure all invoices are processed in line with Service Level Agreement and maintained below a specified level.
* Manage the submission of aged invoices with suppliers to ensure good housekeeping is in place.
* Keep abreast of all relevant legislation in relation to the Accounts Payable service.
* Ensure there is daily investigation into issues/quality errors in relation to invoice processing.
* Manage and resolve queries in line with SLAs and communicating with key stakeholders where necessary.
* Ensure all risk is managed in line with INCOME controls and other risks identified.
* Comply with finance processes, controls and regulatory framework - always. Ensure areas which could potentially adversely affect the business are expediently highlighted to management.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements.
* Identify training & development needs for the team.
* Encourage cross training & development.

* Strong experience with MS Office including Word & Excel as well as SAP would be beneficial but not essential.
This role includes a Basic DBS check therefore ability to pass is essential.
