About the Role
Base Location:Campbeltown Tangy Wind Farm, Argyll & Bute
Salary:£41,583 - £48,296 depending on experience + company vehicle + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.
Working Pattern:Permanent | Full Time
As an Operations Site Supervisor, you'll play an integral role in maintaining high standards and efficient operations across SSE Windfarms. You will be responsible for upholding safety, compliance, and performance standards while supporting business needs throughout various locations. Extensive travel and flexibility are part of this role, emphasizing the need for a proactive approach.
Key responsibilities include ensuring safety and environmental compliance, maximizing plant availability, effective work control and planning, upholding adherence to SSE policies and procedures, and performing regular site audits and reporting.
- Communicate SSE's commitment to safety and operational excellence to all site personnel and ensure adherence to site-specific requirements.
- Schedule and oversee maintenance and servicing activities to meet production and availability targets.
- Ensure tasks are well-planned and executed using safe systems of work, including preparing risk assessments and method statements.
- Stay informed on local compliance requirements and apply company policies consistently.
- Conduct regular site audits to uphold safety, compliance, and operational standards.
What do I need?
To succeed in this role, we would love you to have the following qualifications and skills:
- Ideally a minimum of ONC / SNVQ III or equivalent in an engineering discipline with supervisory experience in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Previous experience with electro-mechanical systems such as rotating machines and control systems with ability to read engineering drawings, single line diagrams, and schematics.
- Outstanding organizational and communication skills to influence stakeholders across various seniority levels.
- Experience working at heights, with pressure systems, and lifting equipment.
- Understanding of financial protocols and experience managing budgets.
