About the role
The role leads a team which supports digital education product teams, promotes best practice, delivers end-user support, manages online guidance and communications, and delivers outreach activities for all aspects of the department’s work. Key elements of the role include:
1. Leading on awareness raising and advocacy activities to support the work of digital education.
2. Liaising with product teams and ensuring that they are supported by members of the Support team.
3. Accountable for maintaining and developing a responsive and high-quality user focused support service.
4. Liaising with second and third-line service teams to ensure that all digital education services run smoothly.
5. Coordinating the network of faculty- and department-based learning technology staff, ensuring the effective two-way exchange of information and requirements
6. Overseeing, populating and maintaining Digital Education’s web and social media presence.
7. Contributing to the team’s strategic direction and change portfolio.

About you
To be considered this role we are looking for an individual who is an experienced leader with substantial and demonstrable experience of digital education leadership and management. An understanding of how web-based, multimedia and mobile technologies can be used to enhance learning, teaching and assessment is essential.
Alongside, candidates must have a firm grasp of the pedagogical, social and cultural issues affecting the adoption of new learning environments/technologies and ability to develop strategies to deal with them. A results-driven mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced Agile environment while ensuring project objectives and business outcomes are achieved.
