For our Business Area Loan Markets in London, we are searching for an employee with immediate effect (part-time and home office possible).
Loan Markets Director (Real Estate) (m/f/d)
Your tasks consist of:
* Active business development with various partners (Banks, Insurance companies, debt funds, other debt investors, etc) to establish (potentially strategic) partnerships to execute joint credit facilities in various structures (e.g. pari passu, A/B, Senior/Mezz, Loan-On-Loan or standalone for the partner).
* Promoting the Bank, e.g., presenting at conferences/seminars.
* Advise the bank on RWA, ROE and Liquidity improvement options through loan partnering; preparation and presentation of options to (Credit) Committee.
* Structure deals to meet internal credit, client and partner requirements and also to facilitate the negotiation and execution of pre and post-closing solutions, applying appropriate risk assessment approaches and structuring skills, particularly in case of client or investor specific considerations or types of transactions.
* Reviewing the models, assumptions and calculations from the deal team and the inputs from other areas to advise on partner underwriting, structuring and pricing expectations.
* Manage execution of deal with partner, including co-ordination of Teasers, Screening Papers and Loan Memos, while working as a strong team player with a cross-departmental deal team & using pbb’s digital Credit Workplace.
* Strong communication skills for interaction with partners and clients and internal coordination between the Legal, Underwriting, Property, Risk and Origination teams until closing.
* Offering the full spectrum of pbb’s related service packages of a Commercial Real Estate Loan to partners (including, for example, Analysis & Underwriting, Documentation, CP-List, Loan Agency and Monitoring Services).
* Source and market new business through other partners on pari passu or tranched basis and to manage such transactions.
* Lead the deal team in closing business sourced from other partners.
* Coordinate and manage existing bank participations for transactions which are the subject to negotiation/restructuring.
* In respect of each transaction, ensuring that Group Credit Risk standards and processes, compliance with German Banking Act (KWG) is followed and maintained.
* Participation in agreed governance groups, i.e., Bank or Group Committees.
* Acting as coach and mentor to more junior colleagues.
Your skills consist of:
* Degree.
* A minimum of 6 or 7 years’ relevant real estate finance experience working for a lender that provides mezzanine finance, whole loans or loan-on-loan financing. A demonstrable track record of underwriting, structuring execution and syndication of highly structured real estate finance transactions. An extensive network of relevant contacts in Banks/Debt Funds/Insurance companies.
* Excellent IT skills with advanced Excel capabilities, Word, PowerPoint.
* Excellent spoken and written English, business competence in a further European language, preferably German or French would be of advantage.
* High ability to co-ordinate, builds a collaborative environment, high respect for others. Sets highest standards for self and others and drives for results. * Due diligence including financial, legal, deal, structuring. Cashflow modelling and sensitivity analysis. Debt capital market products, e.g., B Notes, Mezzanine Lending, Loan-on-Loan.
