We are looking for a Training Specialist to join the Civil Service Jobs ATS Transformation programme in Cabinet Office Digital; you will directly contribute in improving our Civil Service Jobs platform with our customers, the wider recruitment service and those who are applying for roles in the Civil Service.
Your role: As a Training Specialist, you will work alongside the business change managers, our supplier and other members of the programme team to deliver the Train the Trainer approach in ensuring the trainer in each department has been upskilled on the new service and can deliver training locally in readiness for implementation. You will be involved in a number of varied and wide-ranging activities, and will play a key role in supporting every phase of the training experience. You will assess the individual training needs of the departments in line with the new platform functionality, design and deliver effective training to the nominated trainers and support the production of central training materials. You will also support the individual trainers as they prepare to deliver local training and also monitor the effectiveness and impact of the training process, to provide recommendations for improvement.
As a centralised service we operate collaborative working arrangements across multiple government departments and agencies; you will need to identify, establish and nurture business relationships across the Civil Service and within the Cabinet Office to achieve the programme objectives.
Our team: Working to the Senior Business Change Lead, the Adoption & Utilisation team will be made up of six Business Change Managers and two Trainers. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary programme team which includes the Digital Product and Delivery team (Senior Product Manager, Delivery Managers, Business Analysts, User Researchers, User-centred Designers, QA Testers etc) and the Supplier transition team who are working directly on building and initially supporting the digital product.
Wider Cabinet Office teams youll interact with are the Live Service and Support team (maintaining the existing platform), account managers, the Government Recruitment Service but more broadly, this role will be the interface between the programme and the department HR functions.

+ Work as part of a large fast paced programme team undertaking the design, development and implementation of creative, interactive and user-friendly training.
+ Be responsible for the development of high-quality online learning products. Working in conjunction with the supplier, you will produce video and audio content, e-learning, user guides and quick reference cards etc that utilise effective design methods and clearly explain technical change for all users.
+ Have a proven track record in leading and coordinating staff of all levels.
+ Have recent experience of delivering virtual training. In this role, you will conduct training sessions for a variety of audiences to explain our new Applicant Tracking System (ATS) so you will not be daunted by simplifying complexity for your audience, or engaging with senior colleagues.
+ Be responsible for upskilling Single Point of Contact (SPOC) from within the departments who will then deliver training to their own staff and revise their local business process where appropriate.
+ Reflect the professional image of the programme and demonstrate strong communication, presentation and public speaking skills.
+ Be responsible for the maintenance of the products, responding to the changes to the ATS system and processes. You will maintain accurate learning content to ensure that learning support materials remain relevant and up to date as the system continues to evolve.
