Position Overview: We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Psychologist to join our Pain Management team in North East Essex. The successful candidate will not only be responsible for managing a complex clinical caseload but also for providing clinical leadership within the service. As the Clinical Lead, you will guide the direction of patient care, oversee service delivery, and ensure the highest standards of practice, all while leading a committed multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient-centred care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Clinical Leadership: Take on the key role of clinical lead, providing oversight and direction for the pain management service. Ensure the delivery of evidence-based, high-quality care to individuals with chronic pain conditions.
• Caseload Management: Manage a complex and varied caseload, working autonomously and making decisions with the support of the multidisciplinary team.
• Service Delivery & Development: Lead the service, actively contribute to service development, and ensure the team adheres to best practices while promoting innovation and integrated care.
• Educational Leadership: Facilitate educational sessions and lead group programs, empowering patients to effectively manage their pain.
• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with system partners to ensure a seamless, integrated service that prioritizes the self-management of chronic pain conditions.
• Line Management: Provide support and guidance to team members, with some line management responsibilities.
• Autonomous Practice: Work independently while contributing to the ongoing improvement and success of the service.
Key Requirements:
Experience: Significant experience in pain management services is essential, including leadership or clinical supervision roles.
Leadership Skills: Strong clinical leadership ability, with a focus on guiding and supporting the team to deliver exceptional patient care.
Communication: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a strong commitment to fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Car Driver: A valid driver’s license and access to a car are required
Professional Development: A commitment to continuous professional development (CPD), evidence-based practice, and participation in undergraduate and postgraduate education.
