Based at the Leeds Centre for Diabetes & Endocrinology, you will also have the chance to contribute to innovative research and education in one of the largest training departments in the country. With a multidisciplinary approach to care, you will collaborate across specialties, including close links to excellent regional centres of neurosurgery, endocrine surgery, cancer care, antenatal medicine, vascular surgery, and genetics. Main duties of the job This post will deliver 10 PAs (including 1.5 SPAs) supporting the Diabetes and Endocrinology team. The post holder will : Provide out-patient clinics in diabetes and endocrinology, as per departmental requirements. Contribute to specialist multi-disciplinary team meetings where appropriate Contribute to the care of general medical in-patients. The post-holder will form part of a rota whereby they will be working on the ward for 1 week, and then off the wards for 8 weeks, with on-call weekends. Contribute to primary care advice and guidance Contribute to supervision and support of specialist registrars and specialist nurses Applicants must be able to demonstrate a high level of clinical experience and competence in all aspects of diabetes. Excellent communication and team working skills, a strong commitment to teaching and service development are essential. The successful applicants should hold accreditation in Membership of the Royal College of Physicians or equivalent and should be on the Specialist Register.
