KennedyPearce are partnering with a prestigious education and events company based in London. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join the London team on a full-time basis, up to 3 days in the office. The ideal candidate will support the finance department with day-to-day tasks, ensuring smooth financial operations. The nature of the work dictates that there will be extremely busy periods (particularly May-August) and with it comes a positive team spirit with everyone working together towards a common goal. Key Duties and Responsibilities Reporting to the Finance Manager, your duties will include but are not limited to: Processing the weekly BACS payment run Processing the weekly international payments Daily bank reconciliation Recording incoming payments Processing invoices, expense claim forms and other payment requests Processing invoice and credit card payments to Xero Processing refunds Creating and editing invoices as required Reconciling Petty Cash Various finance team projects Supporting the business with ad-hoc requests over the busy season. Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations Person Specification Skills and Experience Required Minimum four years experience within a similar role. Ability to self-motivate and work independently. High attention to detail with excellent data input accuracy. Good communication and IT skills are essential. Experience with Xero would be beneficial Well organised with ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines. Understanding of project codes/cost-centres for expense coding.
