Job overview
Pharmacy Technician who is currently registered with General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC); prison pharmacy experience would be beneficial but not essential.
Main duties of the job
JOB PURPOSE:
The post holder will, under the guidance of the Specialist Prison Pharmacist, assist in the provision of a safe, efficient, and cost-effective pharmaceutical service to prisoners (service users) within the prison over a 7-day shift pattern inclusive of Public Holidays. This role will also involve providing medicines optimisation, medicines supply and administration, general health education advice, and specialist technical services to service users and healthcare staff.
