Ramboll invites you to apply for a Civil Engineering Degree Apprenticeship in our Building Structures team, assisting in delivering civil and structural building designs across a wide range of projects. You will receive full support to achieve a Level 6 qualification (BEng Hons Degree in Civil Engineering), creating a solid foundation for a successful and satisfying career.
The Apprenticeship Programme Duration, Cost and Qualifications
The academic course lasts 5 years and will likely be provided by Liverpool John Moores University. You will work for 4 days a week in the Chester office and study 1 day a week at the University. The cost of the Apprenticeship is covered by Ramboll through the Apprenticeship Levy.
The apprenticeship leads to the following qualifications:
* Level 6 Civil Engineering Degree Apprenticeship
* BEng (Hons) Civil Engineering
* Incorporated Engineer (IEng) with the Institution of Civil Engineers after passing the relevant Professional organisation entry requirements.
You will join our Buildings department
As our new Civil Engineering Apprentice, you will be part of a dynamic team in our Chester office, known for its award-winning designs. You will receive on-the-job training and mentoring from experienced professionals.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will include:
* Working under the guidance of experienced engineers and project managers to deliver effective designs for building and civil engineering structures.
* Managing and producing design information, 3D models, visualisations, drawings, and schedules.
* Learning to use cutting-edge CAD/BIM applications (including Revit) and improving their usage.
* Collaborating with the buildings team and teams of all disciplines, nationally and internationally across the Ramboll Group.
* Promoting the Ramboll brand, core values, and strategy as the Partner for Sustainable Change.
* Applying and promoting policies related to health and safety, quality, and the environment.

* At least 2 A Levels (Mathematics A Level is not required; however, students would benefit from having either AS in Mathematics or an A Level in a subject with some mathematical content)
* Grade C or Grade 4 or above in English Language and Mathematics GCSE
* Alternative qualifications are also accepted.
* A keen interest in the built environment
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* An inquisitive mindset
* CAD knowledge and/or experience is desirable but not essential.
