About the role
The Management Accountant is responsible for the preparation and delivery of timely and accurate financial reports, accounts and ad-hoc information. This role will also provide critical support for the Financial Controller and wider Finance team with day-to-day tasks to ensure smooth running of the company’s financial operations.
Location: Our UK head office is based in Poole, Dorset where the majority of the Finance team are based for two days per week. Ideally, you will be living in a commutable location to Poole, Dorset and be flexible for hybrid working.
Your Responsibilities will include:
1. Support in the production of the monthly management accountant's pack for all entities
2. Responsible for calculation of and recognition of deferred and accrued income by customer, product and line of business
3. Responsible for ensuring that costs are accurately reported to the correct department, line of business and in the correct reporting period by correctly prepaying or accruing costs as necessary
4. Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register for all companies
5. Intergroup loan and trading account reconciliations
6. Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations including monthly reviews and sign off with Financial Controller
7. Daily, weekly and monthly cash reporting including short-term cashflow reporting
8. Ensure compliance with National Statistics Office and other external bodies reporting requirements
9. Support with quarterly VAT compliance
10. Support with annual statutory audits and year end reporting
11. Provide additional ad hoc support to the wider team as necessary
About You

Continuously identifies and delivers process enhancements and strengthens controls.

Utilises advanced formulae to analyse and present data effectively.
7. Strong Team Ethic
Collaborates effectively, supporting team goals and shared success.
Skills Required:
1. Qualified accountant with at least 3 years post qualification experience. QBE considered for the right candidate.
2. Experience of using SAP products is a distinct advantage but not essential, particularly BYD and/or S4/HANA.
3. Systems literate and process focused.
