Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking to take on a challenging role in the oil and gas sector? We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Electrical Engineer to join our client's team for a high-profile pre-FEED study. This project involves repurposing and re-lifing an existing terminal, requiring electrical network rationalisation, new substation design, optioneering, and cost estimation.
As a Lead Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for allocating and overseeing work to ensure timely delivery against project objectives. You will also deliver high-quality electrical engineering tasks within schedule, budget, and to client satisfaction. Ensuring compliance with national and international codes, practices, legislation, and company/client standards is crucial. Additionally, you will manage obsolescence, produce detailed surveys, load lists, equipment specifications, equipment sizing calculations, and scopes of work for equipment refurbishment.
This role offers a flexible working arrangement and a chance to thrive in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team environment. Our client values strong knowledge of design practices and installation requirements in the discipline. Significant engineering experience in the Oil & Gas sector is essential. A thorough understanding of UK legislation, standards, and HSE requirements is also necessary. Expertise in installing equipment in process plants involving potentially explosive areas is a must.
We are looking for a Highly motivated individual with exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Strong commitment to safety and risk management practices is required. A Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Control Engineering (apprenticeships may be considered) is essential. Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status or working towards it is also desirable.
