This is an excellent opportunity to start your career in an entry level role at a large firm of solicitors in their Post Room and Admin team. The Firm has approximately 120 employees, and we pride ourselves on our training and development success within the company. You'll be part of the support services team dealing with both clients and members of staff. It's therefore important that you are comfortable working on the telephone and strive to provide an excellent customer service experience. You'll be directing calls, taking messages and sorting the daily post in and out of the office.
There is no cold calling involved in this role.
Please note that our full-time working week is 35 hours per week.
You will be required to attend the office in Newton-le-Willows on a full-time basis Monday to Friday. There is no remote working offered with this role.
Key Responsibilities
• Discussing and understanding initial enquiries from potential clients, engaging both verbally on the telephone and in writing and directing them to the correct department.
• Printing and binding bundles for court.
• Meeting and greeting any visitors to the office.
• Sorting, validating, scanning and distribution of post as it arrives.
• Printing documents and letters and preparing post for collection.
• Assisting with document management for Fee Earners, sending back original documents to clients and searching for filed documents on our document management system.
• Covering duties within the admin team as and when required for holiday and sickness cover.
• Any other duties that may occur from time to time as assigned by your line manager and in relation to your role and experience.
Experience/Qualifications/skills required to perform role
• No previous experience required as full training will be given.
• Must be computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• A good standard of spoken and written English language.
Personal Characteristics
• Must have a good telephone manner, with confidence in delivery.
• The desire to provide an excellent customer service experience.
• Be able to work under pressure with an understanding of the swift and accurate nature needed to meet deadlines.
• Be well organised in managing a diary of tasks, to be completed on a regular basis and within a set timescale.
