We have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Category Assistant within our Beauty Category Team. You'll be based at the Holland & Barrett International Nuneaton Hub, nr. Coventry (CV10 7RH).
The Role
The Purpose of the Role:
As a Category Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the Category team, with real ownership of all the administrative tasks that are the foundation of all that we do. In particular, you will support the Pricing and Promotional plan, so confidently handling large data sets and managing fast-paced and reactive priorities, with an affinity for Excel and Reporting systems is a must!
Ideally, you would have experience in previous admin roles and have worked in retail. Your role will be to support the Senior Category Manager and the Beauty Category Team, playing a pivotal role in setting up the department for success.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting the team with all aspects of the promotional process – chasing suppliers for info, updating and checking internal systems with high accuracy, ensuring we hit internal deadlines.
* Ensuring that all administration and data input relating to product information, cost prices, and supplier details are accurately maintained.
* Owning the invoicing process, and dealing with any supplier queries.
* Implementing and owning processes to ensure effective ways of working.
* Managing deadlines around promotions and pricing.
* Maintaining and managing line lists and product samples for the team.
* Problem-solving to resolve queries from suppliers, customer services, etc.
* Booking meetings and organizing supplier events at our offices.
* Other admin support as required for the smooth running of all processes.
Location:
This role is based in Nuneaton and may occasionally require travel to our London Hub or to any other location of H&B. We support flexibility and productivity of our employees by hybrid working arrangements with a minimum of 2 days presence in the office.
The Person
Key Requirements:
* Excellent organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with strong time management skills.
* Track record of working independently.
* IT literate including strong Excel skills; must be confident in using and maintaining spreadsheets.
* Determined, agile, and tenacious with an ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced role.
* Experience of using promotions or pricing systems within another retailer would be advantageous.
* Good level of numerical and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
* Customer-focused – everything we do is to support our store colleagues and ultimately our customers.
* Able to build relationships with internal multi-discipline teams.
