Senior Nursery Practitioner
We are the internal recruitment partner for The Peterborough School, (thepeterboroughschool.co.uk) a well-established and highly successful Independent Day School situated in a beautiful setting close to the city centre.
We are presenting an exciting opportunity for a Senior Nursery Practitioner to join the team. You will join a collaborative and supportive team who encourage new ideas and champion ongoing learning and professional growth.
Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality care and education for children in the nursery setting.
* Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
* Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a supportive learning environment.
* Manage daily routines including meal times, play sessions, and nap times to ensure children's needs are met.
* Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to track their development.
* Foster positive relationships with children to encourage their confidence and independence.
* Maintain a safe, clean, and organised nursery environment that meets health and safety standards.
* Work collaboratively with the nursery team to create an inclusive atmosphere for all children.
Requirements:
* A qualification in Early Childhood Education (Level 3 +) or equivalent.
* Have a thorough understanding and working knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding requirements.
* Ability to create an engaging and stimulating environment.
* Ability to form and maintain relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Additional completed training courses are desirable.
* Ability to work as part of a team whilst demonstrating initiative as needed.
A salary of £25,855 - £28,141 per annum dependent on skills, knowledge, and experience. Working Hours: 40 hours across Monday-Friday (Shifts: 07:30-16:30, 08:00-17:00, 08:00-18:00 with half a day off).
