Job Purpose Provide advice and guidance on HR matters in line with policies, procedures and employment law. Key Duties & Responsibilities Manage a busy ER caseload and work closely with HR Advisors and HR Administrators. Play an integral part in the HR team and support HR Assistants/Administrators in their continuous growth and development. Use initiative and ER knowledge to suggest and implement changes to processes and procedures, in order to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the organisation. Consistently demonstrate and support in fostering a culture of employee engagement, wellbeing and inclusiveness. Develop relationships with Line Managers, providing them with guidance, coaching and support on all HR activities, in order to ensure a consisten and fair approach to people management. Understand the purpose of policies and procedures, whilst being able to effectively provide HR support, in misconduct, performance management, flexible working requests and probation cases. Working and communicating with the HR systems advisor to maintain the integrity of HR and payroll systems. Maintain up to date knowledge of developments within HR and Employment Law. Assist and monitor in internal staff moves and promotions. Assist with exit interviews and health reviews, providing feedback to relevant managers. Support employees through Maternity and Paternity processes as well as family friendly policies. Any other duties that may be required from time to time. Experience & Knowledge Proven HR generalist experience with a good understanding of employment law and HR best practice, with demonstrable knowledge of how to source and obtain answers independently. Proactive and self-motivated with a proven ability to work autonomously and flexibly, using own initiative. Excellent communication, interpersonal and numeric skills, to include providing written and verbal advice in a clear concise manner to a high standard, with excellent attention to detail. The ability to challenge using the qualities of patience, sensitivity, diplomacy and integrity. Excellent time management and organisational skills. Ability to work effectively with people across a wide range of levels and responsibilities and build relationships with key stakeholders, whilst influencing, persuading, coaching and using negotiating skills. Experience of working in a fast paced environment. Excellent IT skills with a sound working knowledge of MS Office. Desirables A good knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
