There is a fabulous school in Swindon who are looking to hire a recent graduate to support their students that have behavioural challenges or need extra encouragement regarding their social, emotional and mental health needs. This role would be a brilliant stepping stone for any aspiring criminal justice officer to gain experience helping young people facing behavioural challenges. Working as support staff would include working on a 1-1 basis with students who require extra consideration going through their academic career. The responsibilities range from identifying triggers and areas for improvement, coaching students on how to regulate their thoughts and emotions, keeping them on task and focused on their goals.
This opportunity would be fantastic for any aspiring criminal justice officer due to the interaction with young people who are struggling with making the correct choices and have been removed from mainstream education. You would play a crucial role in helping them progress with the goal of re-entering mainstream education with the mind-set and the skills needed to thrive. As an aspiring criminal justice worker you will be gain invaluable experience and networking opportunities working alongside behaviour analysts, occupational therapists and safeguarding officers. Working as support staff in this SEMH focussed school will give an aspiring criminal justice worker insight as to how prevention can ensure vulnerable young people are less likely to enter the criminal justice system and remain on a positive path in society.
