The Team
The Construction and Projects team is recognised for advising sponsors, lenders, contractors, and clients on high-value, complex construction matters. Known for their expertise, they manage all aspects of large-scale projects, including procurement, construction, and operations for infrastructure, real estate, and energy developments. The team is deeply involved in transformative projects, including innovative public-private partnerships, major sports stadiums, and landmark infrastructure assets. Their collaborative approach offers seamless support across a variety of sectors, ensuring bespoke solutions for high-profile clients.
The Role
The successful candidate will engage with a range of construction and projects transactions, advising on both the commercial and legal aspects of developments and projects. You will work closely with clients and colleagues, overseeing complex agreements, drafting documentation, and managing transactions from start to completion. This role offers significant exposure to cross-border projects and the opportunity to contribute strategically within an esteemed global team.
Key Responsibilities
* Advising on the legal and commercial aspects of diverse construction projects
* Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex construction contracts and agreements
* Building and maintaining strong client relationships
* Supporting the team in business development and raising the firm’s profile
* Mentoring and supervising junior associates and trainees as part of the firm’s commitment to talent development
Key Requirements
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 PQE within a reputable construction or projects team.
They should demonstrate:
* Extensive experience in construction law and project transactions
* Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
* A strong interest in the construction sector and a commercial mindset
* High-level organisational and project management skills
* The ability to thrive in a dynamic, intellectually challenging environment
* A collaborative approach and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service
Candidates MUST be a qualified solicitor, ideally admitted in England & Wales or a Commonwealth jurisdiction.
