One of our partnership SEN colleges in Cheadle, are looking for a fully qualified teacher to support young people aged 18-25 with complex special educational needs.
The ideal Teacher will have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), open to accepting PGCE candidates without QTS
* Experience working with children/adults with additional needs such as Autism, Visual and hearing impairments and complex needs
* The ability to build effective working relationships with children and staff.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Full time availability within school hours
* Child and Adult DBS check
In this role as a SEN teacher, you will:
* Plan and prepare engaging and creative lessons to suit the needs of all children
* Engage in vocational activities and development of key life skills
* Support and engage with students and their EHCP plans
* Support with elements of personal care including hand washing, toileting.
* Assess student’s learning and development
