Job summary This role is to provide a comprehensive administrative service to the Anaemia team and their patients from triage of referral to booking of the infusions waiting list management and performance reporting. The postholder will need to liaise with both internal and external partners to ensure that patients receive their treatment in a timely manner. Main duties of the job The post holder will also support the Specialist Nurse in their Anaemia Service and Transfusion Lead role which will involve supporting staff training and competency activities, processing referrals and the recording of incidents and their resolution in relation to all clinical use of blood within the Yeovil Hospital site. This role requires a high attention to detail and desire to provide high quality patient care. The successful candidate will need to be able to organise their own workload whilst working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.
