We are looking for a Specialty Doctor to join our team of peadiatricians, advanced nurse practitioners and trainees to help deliver safe, sustainable and excellent care to children and young people within the Scottish Borders. The Scottish Borders and Borders General Hospital is an excellent place to work in and we want people to feel joy working within our teams. You will be expected to cover the acute rota providing resident inpatient tier 2 for (registrar level) peadiatrics and the level 1 special care baby unit (SCBU). Resident consultant cover is provided Monday-Thursday 0900-2100 with non resident cover being provided at other times. You will be encouraged to develop a specialist interest and provide outpatient or community care. Depending on your interests, the job plan for patient care activities may be more directed towards duties in the Paediatric Ward or Neonatal Unit.
You must be a GMC registered medical practitioner with a license to practice, can demonstrate a minimum of four years full time or equivalent medical experience post-qualification, with two years full time or equivalent training in Paediatrics.
