Responsibilities:
1. Quality Issue Resolution: Serve as the focal point for all quality issues in assigned departments, ensuring timely and effective remedies.
2. Project Management: Lead and manage improvement projects focused on cost of quality and schedule adherence.
3. Root Cause Analysis: Manage Material Review Board (MRB) activities and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective Actions (CA) to address non-conformances.
4. Process Mapping: Map existing processes using suitable tools (Value Stream Mapping/ SIPOC) to understand Suppliers, Inputs, Outputs, & Customers
5. Risk Reduction: Develop processes to facilitate risk reduction and promote lean working practices.
6. Documentation: Create and implement Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Work Instructions (WIs) to support departmental needs.
7. Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal and external customer and regulatory requirements.
8. Continuous Improvement: Drive improvement activities and participate in internal and external audits as required.
9. Quality Tools Deployment: Develop and deploy key quality tools such as p/d FMEA, MSA, 8D Problem Solving, 5 Whys, PPAP, and SPC, and support others in their use.
10. Performance Measurement: Measure and report performance KPIs, including non-conformance and corrective action trends, audit compliance, and improvement activities.
Skills & Experience Required:
Essential:
11. Proficiency in quality and continual improvement tools such as p/d FMEA, AS9145 (APQP/PPAP), 5S, Lean, MSA & Gauge R&R, 8D, 5 Whys, Process Mapping, and SPC.
12. Understanding of technical drawings, including GD&T.
Desirable:
13. Auditing experience.
14. Exposure to Industry 4.0.
