About the Role We are expanding our team and looking for an experienced full stack developer to join the back-end team behind our ontology and knowledge management platform. Responsibilities Working closely with other Development team members to understand product requirements and translate them into software designs Writing and reviewing portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components Developing and maintaining the existing user interface and back-end systems Implementing development processes, coding best practices and code reviews Resolving technical issues as necessary Completing bug fixes and resolving technical issues Requirements BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience Solid Software development experience Proficiency in Java and the Spring Framework. Experience with Hibernate/JPA, Gradle, Docker is also desirable Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (Angular, Typescript, some experience of React and Vue.js is also desirable) Experience of using RESTful web services, consuming common forms of data such as JSON The ability to design and build unit-tested, modular code and deploy and run it on local and cloud infrastructure Understanding of Agile software development process and unit testing and understanding of SOLID and Clean Coding principles Work in a way that works for you We promote a healthy work/life balance across the organisation.
