Salary: £50k-£55k
We are recruiting on behalf of an established and growing property management company, seeking a dynamic and results-driven Head of Operations. This is an exceptional opportunity to take a strategic leadership role, overseeing the operational and financial management of a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial properties.
The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO to streamline operations, optimise processes, and drive the company's strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities:
1. Comprehensive Property and Operations Management
* Oversee all aspects of property management, including tenant communications, lease administration, and maintenance coordination.
* Manage lease renewals, address tenant inquiries, and ensure properties are well-maintained and compliant with relevant regulations.
* Collaborate closely with the CEO to develop property management expertise and maintain high standards across the portfolio.
2. Financial Oversight & Coordination
* Act as the primary liaison with the outsourced accounting team, ensuring timely and accurate financial management, including bookkeeping, VAT submissions, and financial reporting.
* Oversee the integration and optimisation of financial software systems to support efficient operations.
* Ensure smooth communication and collaboration with the accounting team to support financial transparency and accuracy.
3. Administrative & Resource Management
* Supervise a dedicated administrative resource, delegating tasks such as diary management, property compliance, and general office management.
* Ensure administrative support contributes to the efficiency and smooth running of daily operations.
4. Process Optimisation & Automation
* Lead initiatives to automate routine operational tasks, including invoice processing, payment authorisations, and financial reporting.
* Develop and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure and enhance operational efficiency and performance across the business.
5. Effective Communication & Collaboration
* Maintain open communication channels with internal teams, external partners, and the CEO to provide regular updates on operational and financial matters.
* Establish and enforce communication protocols to ensure accountability and effective collaboration across all areas of the business.
About You:
We are seeking a candidate who is:
* Strategic and proactive, with a hands-on approach to operational and financial management.
* Experienced in property management (residential and commercial), or eager to develop expertise in this area under the guidance of the CEO.
* Highly organised, with a keen eye for detail and a track record of process improvement and automation.
* An effective communicator and collaborator, capable of managing internal teams and external partners with professionalism and efficiency.
Additional Requirements:
* This role is onsite and based at the company’s head office in Golders Green, London.
