Your role will involve optimizing the management of IT assets throughout their lifecycle, from acquisition to disposal. Collaborating closely with Product Managers, you will ensure that we have the right IT assets to meet our current and future needs while minimizing costs, risks, and waste. You will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with legal, contractual, and regulatory requirements related to IT assets. By improving IT service quality and efficiency, you will work to reduce downtime, enhance performance, and facilitate timely upgrades and replacements. Your focus will be on maximizing IT asset value and return on investment by aligning assets with business objectives, reducing unnecessary spending, and identifying opportunities for reuse and redeployment. Additionally, you will minimize IT asset risks and liabilities through proper security, maintenance, and disposal practices, while effectively tracking and reporting on inventory, usage, and ownership. By providing accurate and reliable data and insights on asset performance, costs, and trends, you will support IT asset governance and strategy, empowering informed decision-making and planning processes across the organisation. Main duties: Your main duties will include: Oversee the asset discovery process to identify all IT assets within the organization. Develop and implement an effective asset management strategy. Build, maintain, and regularly update the company’s IT asset (including but not limited to) hardware, software and certificate inventory. Evaluate the organization’s asset requirements and coordinate their acquisition. Create, implement, and optimise policies for the acquisition, maintenance, and disposal of assets. Ensure assets are compliant with organizational policies throughout their lifecycle.
