Specialists in providing engineered above ground drainage and water supply systems, Polypipe Building Services leverages offsite fabrication to design and deliver solutions to mechanical and public health engineers, M&E contractors as well as local authorities. Polypipe Building Services houses well-known industry brand Terrain and has been delivering systems to commercial, high rise residential, healthcare, education and leisure projects for over 50 years.
Overview: To support the site services and safety processes within the management system to assure customer satisfaction, employee safety and site infrastructure improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Safety checks and audits for Site, including conducting and documenting and assisting external statutory inspections
2. Ensure PPE stocks are maintained, and PPE issued to agreed rules
3. Maintain access to mechanical locks across site and issue of keys/cards, for Electronic access equipment
4. Management of company uniform and distribution to work force.
5. Monitor and review system documents ensuring correct issue status and audit of changes
6. Administration of See It Sort It reports, level 1 and level 2 audits
7. Issue Permits to Work for External contractors as required, maintain contractor files and supervision of permits as required
Skills & Requirements:
1. Good understanding of Environment, Health and Safety matters appertaining to the company
2. Working knowledge of integrated Management System related standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001)
3. Time management skills – ability to plan and execute work within agreed timescales
4. Ability to conduct internal audits
5. Competent in accurately recording results, inspections and audits in clear legible manner consistent with the requirements of the respective standard.
6. Good communication skills
Working hours and benefits:
1. 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (3pm finish on Fridays)
