Position: Experienced Teaching Assistant Pay: £12.83 per hour Location: Christchurch Start Date: Immediate or Easter 2925 Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 8:30 am – 3:30 pm GSL Education are supporting a local mainstream primary school in Christchurch, who are seeking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant to help support in a lower key stage 2 class. The class have a mixture of abilities and needs, meaning that focused and differentiated group interventions will be a key part of this teaching assistant role, to help and equip pupils who are working at a different level to their peers. Experience planning and leading intervention groups would be incredibly beneficial, including any experience working with pupils with SEN and diverse learning needs. The position is full-time, Monday to Friday 8:30-15:30, and will start towards the end of September/ beginning to October. Key Responsibilities: Planning and facilitating group interventions both in and out of the classroom. Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure that the needs in the class are met. Implement class behaviour policies and support the teacher with behaviour management. Provide personalised support to pupils, on both a 1:1 and small group basis, including pupils with individual education plans and EHCPs. Consistently promote positive behaviour. Organise and prepare teaching materials for effective learning.
