We work as a multi-disciplinary team and you will have the opportunity to help develop and improve our pathways of care for our patients. This post provides opportunity for developing wound care, offloading and arterial assessment skills.
Main duties of the job
In this role you will be responsible for delivering a high quality, accessible and timely evidence based clinical pathway for patients. You will work within both the community Podiatry service and in the outpatient/inpatient hospital setting at Westmorland General Hospital, where you will be responsible for the provision of care to the high risk foot. You will provide quality, evidence based clinical interventions, take responsibility for educating and training colleagues and support the community Podiatry team. You need to be an excellent communicator, able to work independently and confidently and possess well developed organisational skills.

* 1st level registered nurse

Experience
* Current knowledge and experience of caring for patients with conditions related to post.
* Evidence of clinical competence in the speciality.
* Experience of and ability to work as a member of the multidisciplinary clinical team.
Skills, Ability & Knowledge
* Demonstrable clinical skills within specialist area.
* Knowledge of clinical governance and its application.
* Up to date knowledge of the developments in appropriate area care.
