Ready to find the right role for you?\n\nSalary: Starting £25,396.80 per annum plus Veolia benefits\n \nHours: 40 Hours per week, Monday to Friday\n \nLocation: Lumley Street Service Centre\n \nLumley Street\n \nSheffield\n \nSouth Yorkshire\n \nS4 7ZJ\n\nWhen you see the world as we do, you see the chance to help the world take better care of its resources and help it become a better place for everyone. \n\nAs the Administration and Data Handling Technician you will support the relevant business needs across all Sheffield Integrated Waste Management sites. \n\nYou will be responsible for carrying out administration tasks including operational data validation, error solving, reconciliation and data and information update into relevant local documents and software systems.
You will ensure that all assigned tasks are executed in line with relevant procedures and performance measures, meeting timescales, standards and expectations.\n\nYou will be part of a wider administration team situated at other operational sites, and will be expected, periodically, to work across those sites.\n\nWhat we can offer you;\n\n25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays\n \nAccess to our company pension scheme\n \nFree physiotherapy service \n \nDiscounts on everything from groceries to well known retailers\n \nAccess to a range of resources to support your physical, mental and financial health; so you can lean on us whenever you need to\n \nOngoing training and development opportunities, allowing you to reach your full potential\n\nYour duties will include:\n\nData input, analysis, reconciliation and reporting. \n \nDocument/report typing, correspondence handling. \n \nCarrying out all administrative related tasks required by the role and business needs.\n \nProcessing agency and staffing hours for payroll.\n \nProcessing purchase orders and invoice reconciliation; liaising with the Finance Team and Contractors/Suppliers.\n \nOrdering stationery and refreshments for Sheffield Contract where needed.\n \nDealing with incoming and outgoing post.\n \nOrganising and supporting meetings including minute taking.\n \nWeighbridge administration activities, i.e.recording and reporting of relevant vehicle movement data.
Administrating the overseas export of product/container movement process.\n \nSupporting a busy management team where requested.\n \nFiling, storing and archiving of documentation in line with Veolia Policy, Contract requirements and site specific/local procedures.\n\nWhat we're looking for;\n\nTo enable you to carry out this role you must have attention to detail and be an excellent problem solver, be able to demonstrate excellent communication and team working skills with the ability to work with large amounts of data. \n \nThe successful candidate will have excellent IT skills, and should not be phased by changing demands. \n \nLevel 3 Business and Administration is desirable.\n \nExperience of working in the waste industry is desirable however not essential.\n\nWhat's next?\n\nApply today, so we can make a difference for generations to come.\n\nWe're proud to be listed in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2024, being named as a Top 10 Very Big Organisation to work for two years in a row!
