INTERNAL VACANCY
We are looking for a professional, organised and self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills to provide efficient and comprehensive support to the Cleanliness Management Team.
You will embrace the challenge of working in a highly demanding environment where excellent customer service skills and attention to detail are paramount. Flexibility is required, along with the ability to work to ever-changing demands and priorities. The workload is varied; therefore, you must be able to prioritise your work with minimal supervision, as well as work as part of a team.
Core hours of work are 8am – 4pm, 5 shifts over 7 with alternate working; however, flexibility to cover the needs of the service is required, including early morning and late shifts as needed.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the cleaning service to the trust, ensuring that the highest standard of environmental hygiene is delivered at all times in accordance with National Standards of Cleanliness and in line with the Operational Cleaning Plan.
* The post holder is responsible for ensuring that the highest standards of cleanliness are consistently delivered through the effective use of resources and that staff are managed in accordance with trust policy.
* To assist the Cleanliness Manager in the recruitment and retention of staff.
* To ensure that all resources are effectively deployed to maintain standards.
* To manage staff leave to avoid disruption to service.
* To undertake cleanliness monitoring in line with Departmental guidelines, taking corrective action where necessary.
* To participate in PLACE/Efficacy and Exemplary audits as required.
* To order and control stock.
* To maintain equipment inventories, compiling replacement programmes as required.
* To ensure staff induction and annual refresher training, maintaining and updating staff records accordingly.
* To undertake staff appraisal and performance review, including the management of probationary periods.
* To assist the Cleanliness Manager with first line disciplinary and grievance issues and incidents.
