General labouring including site preparation and clearance, and maintaining general site tidiness and assisting in maintaining site security.
Performing tasks as directed by the Line Manager to include digging trenches, laying foundations, plastering and carpentry duties and working using your own initiative within agreed criteria.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
1. General labouring work including digging trenches, laying foundations, plastering and carpentry duties, site preparation and clearance, and maintaining general site tidiness – assisting in maintaining site security as directed by the Line Manager to assist with site storage, lifting, fetching supplies, unloading and checking deliveries.
2. Undertaking tasks to assist tradesmen generally.
3. Assisting to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair; to ensure compliance with agreed codes, law, working practices and health and safety.
4. Liaising with line manager and other site workers and performing jobs as and when they are required, in accordance with contract/agreed requirements and within agreed time limits.
5. Working using your own initiative within agreed roles – do not wait to be asked!
6. Ensure compliance to agreed codes, legislation, and procedures including health and safety.
7. Maintain accurate worksheets and records/documentation associated with your work.
8. Immediately report problems/failures that may impact on the organisation and/or its clients/customers, or which you think may affect health and safety, to the Line Manager.
9. Meet your targets and contribute to those of the team as a whole.
10. Contribute towards the smooth running of the team.
11. Adhere to all organisation policies and procedures, including those relating to hygiene, respect for other team members, time keeping and flexibility.
Hours:
1. Your usual hours will be from 8am to 4pm. However, you will be expected to work as and when necessary to meet the needs of the team and your targets.
Essential:
1. To hold the following CSCS Card, CCNSG passport.
2. Experience in this type of job role (minimum 1 year).
3. Requisite knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to the trade.
4. To be flexible and willing to work as part of a team.
5. To be friendly and approachable.
6. Good attention to detail.
