We are looking to appoint a Playworker for the Knowledge Schools Trust Primary Schools.
The position is based at West London free School Primary/Earl’s Court Free School Primary, Cambridge Grove, Hammersmith, W6 0LB and Kensington Primary Academy, Warwick Road, W14 8PU. You can be asked to work at either site.
The role provides operational and administrative support to the Primary School Afterschool and Holiday Club Provision.
This position is responsible for the smooth delivery of the afterschool provision based at the Trust’s primary schools. In particular breakfast club, after school clubs, after school play and holiday clubs. They will be responsible for all aspects of managing the play environment, delivering high quality afterschool provision, engaging with the children, dealing with parents and liaising with the schools and Trust.
The role requires a highly child centred approach, the development of creative play contexts, and a strong understanding of safeguarding.

Time commitment: Monday to Friday
Term Time plus 6 weeks, 44 working weeks, 5.6 weeks paid holiday
The role has different hours in term time and in the holidays due to the timings of the Club:
Term Time including inset days, 38 weeks per year (665 hours)
15:00 - 18.30 Monday to Friday for the After School Club Playworker role (17.5 hours per week)
School Holidays - Holiday Club, 6 weeks per year (255 hours)
08:00 – 17:00 Monday – Friday during the School Holidays for the Holiday Club (8.5 hours per day (30 minute unpaid break) 42.5 hours a week).
The annual salary is £14,184. This will be split equally and paid over a 12 month period.
West London Free School Primary, which opened in September 2013, Earl’s Court Free School Primary, which opened in September 2014 and Kensington Primary Academy which opened in 2016.
