Electrical Installations and Commissioning Engineer - Submarines

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Installation and Commissioning Engineer to join the On-Site Team at Rolls-Royce Submarines based in Barrow-in-Furness.
Your role will include testing and commissioning of the newest electrical NSRP components from the initial delivery to the final testing of the platform as well as producing, reviewing, and authorising First of Class procedures for build and commissioning.
What you will be doing:
* Provide support to the site team and shipbuilder for all build and commissioning issues.
* Review defects, problems, emergent issues including final sentencing. Approve concessions raised by the shipbuilder during the build and commissioning programme.
* Operate within a cross engineering discipline team with multiple industrial partner organisations.
* Participate in a Site Engineer Training Plan leading to a formal qualification board.
* May include periodic attendance at other site locations within the UK and abroad.
Who we are looking for:
* Preferably educated to degree level, studying for a degree or equivalent with practical experience in an electrical engineering discipline.
* Proactive in driving results, demonstrating creativity in problem solving, and possessing strong planning and organisational skills.
* Ideally have a detailed knowledge of the Rolls-Royce NSRP design.
* Ability to represent Rolls-Royce independently and collaborate effectively within a shipyard environment.
* Strong capability to manage a changing environment.
* Positive team player focused on collaboration and supporting the broader team.
To work for the Rolls-Royce Submarines business, an individual must hold a Security Check clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you do not currently have this in place.
