The Horticulture Department at Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve are looking for Grass Cutters to join our team on a seasonal basis until the 10th October 2025.
This role is primarily focused on the maintenance of lawns and grass areas across our scenic Wild Animal Park. The successful candidate may also be required to carry out other garden related duties including maintenance, upkeep, and improvement of; the hotel & accommodation gardens, the herbaceous and mixed plantings, wall shrubs, lawns, houseplant displays and seasonal displays ensuring they meet the organisations priorities.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for candidates with experience using hand mowers, strimmers, and ride-on mowers, who will be able to follow directions and work to agreed standards while using horticultural tools safely. The ideal candidates will have a strong ability to absorb and apply new knowledge, along with a genuine passion for plants, horticulture, and working outdoors. A valid driving licence is essential as you will be required to drive company vehicles.
Contract Details
Seasonal contracts will run through to the 10th October 2025. Rate of pay will increase in April 2025. Working hours are full time, 40 hours per week, covering shifts five days out of seven. This may include weekends and Bank Holidays. All applicants must have right to work in the UK. A reliable mode of transport is recommended due to our remote location.
