About this Role This role involves leading a team of Project Engineers to deliver critical Operational Technology (OT) & industrial process control system projects. These include full system upgrades of major complex control systems to new cutting-edge systems. The team will work alongside the Operations & Asset Care teams to deliver the business goals. Working with other members of the Diageo Global Engineering team, this role must ensure delivery of the overall business and strategic priorities. Peer and Senior Stakeholder management will be a key part of the delivery. The role is positioned in the Diageo Global Engineering team providing Capital Expenditure (CapEx) Project Management services to Diageo's spirits production sites. The overall purpose of the team is to deliver the investment plan (Annual Operating Plan - AOP) for asset investments on a year on year basis. Key responsibilities include: - Leading a team of Capex Control & Instrumentation (C&I) Project Engineers assigned to key Operational Technology (OT) and industrial process con system projects. - Proactively managing Health & Safety of contractor works including managing a Health & Safety Lead resource. - Using of specialist engineering, controls, instrumentation and automation knowledge to deliver capital projects to correct technical specification and managing efficient spend for capital projects. - Co-ordinating and managing external resources. - Delivering the scope safely, on time, within cost to the expected quality, while managing risk and resolving issues. - Ensuring compliance with appropriate Health, Safety and Environmental standards, Diageo Code of Conduct, Legal & Regulatory Standards as they apply to the delivery of capital investments. You will be able to demonstrate your own experience and capability to effectively run multiple contracts with project OEM's and contractors to ensure the project delivers as expected. Support for same will be provided by a support resource assigned to the project by Diageo Procurement. To be successful at this role, you will need; - Strong Health & Safety experience and/or relevant qualification i.e. NEBOSH. - Engineering knowledge or experience of industrial process control systems (Degree level or time served) - Considerable experience and professional development in areas such as project management is required. APM (Professional) Qualification is required either at entry or to be acquired within a limited timeframe. - Effective stakeholder management skills to inform and gain support from a wide range of senior stakeholders across the Diageo business. - Good at networking to establish excellent relationships, effective influencer, with excellent communication skills.
