Robert Half are excited to be exclusively partnering with a fast growth Private Equity backed organisation as they look to bring on a new Sales Ledger Clerk on a contract basis. The role has been created to cover increased workflow in the team and will be for an approximate 12-month period.
To be successful you should have had previous experience working within a finance function, ideally in a similar Sales Ledger focussed role, however candidates with a good understanding of the Purchase Ledger should also apply.
Key responsibilities:
* Responsible for processing invoices accurately in a timely manner
* Ownership of the tracker for all invoices
* Responsible chasing overdue debt in a timely manner to reduce debtors' day and adhering to company debtor's process
* Processing new customer applications forms and completing the required credit checks
* Manage and maintain our insurance, ensuring the company risk is kept to a minimum
* Lead on weekly Credit Control meeting
* Sending customer statements monthly
* Liaising with customers to resolve queries in a timely manner
* Ensuring the correct VAT treatment is applied
* Ensure bank receipts are allocated accurately and reconcile daily
Skills and qualifications:
* 2 years+ Sales Ledger experience
* Ability to work flexibly and under pressure and ability to work to deadlines
* Practical knowledge of spreadsheets in Excel
* Good verbal communication skills
* Good numeracy skills
* Close attention to detail
* Self-managing and the ability to work unsupervised
The role of Sales Ledger Clerk is offered with a salary of up to £28,000 plus benefits. Candidates applying should be immediately available or on a notice of no more than 4 weeks.
