About the role Location: Oxford Start: July 2025 Reports to: Website Marketing Manager Working pattern: July and/or August 2025, with a commitment of 3 days per week Salary: £12.21 per hour As a Website Intern, you will play a key role in supporting the ongoing development and optimization of our website. You will assist with a variety of tasks, ranging from SEO research to writing blog posts, and have the chance to contribute to making the Oxford Summer Courses website even better. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in the world of digital marketing, content management, and SEO, while working closely with our web team. Main Responsibilities: Conducting keyword research to enhance SEO strategies and website content. Organising and uploading images to the website, ensuring each is optimised for SEO and aligned with the content. Performing competitor analysis to track trends and identify areas for improvement, compiling findings into easy-to-read reports. Writing engaging blog posts and assisting with other content creation tasks. Gathering quotes, research, and summarising key points for blog posts and other long-form content. Supporting the web team with content updates and ensuring clarity, consistency, and SEO best practices across the website. Proofreading and editing content to maintain high-quality standards. Offering suggestions and ideas to improve website content, based on observations and research. Essential: A keen interest in SEO, digital marketing, content creation, and blog writing. A basic understanding of SEO principles and tools (e.g., SEMrush, Google Keyword Planner). Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to work independently. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on clear and concise content. A proactive, enthusiastic attitude towards learning new skills and contributing to a growing website. Desirable Familiarity with content management systems. Basic experience in competitor analysis and SEO tools. An interest in the education sector and the online learning space.
