Are you looking to get into the travel industry?
Here at MyCruise UK, we are looking for a new team member with drive, enthusiasm, and a passion for travel.
As a Junior Cruise Consultant, you will ensure each customer's experience is seamless, from their first contact to booking their next cruise holiday. We will provide onboarding and training to help you develop your knowledge and understanding of cruising and associated travel arrangements.
You will be part of a friendly and positive team, working in a fast-paced, team target-based environment with an emphasis on delivering high levels of conversion, margin, and customer satisfaction scores.
About MyCruise UK
MyCruise has been established in Denmark for 16 years with a head office in Copenhagen, also having offices based in Sweden and Norway. MyCruise UK is the most recent addition to the MyCruise family, launched in 2024 and operates as a specialist cruise travel agency out of our UK office based in central Southampton. Now is the perfect time to join our growing team and be part of the exciting development of our UK office.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensuring all customer contact, such as emails, webchats, and calls are handled quickly, efficiently, and met with a high service standard.
* Aim to maximize sales through the selling of cruise holidays, ancillaries, and spot opportunities to upsell.
* Build lasting relationships with customers to earn repeat customers.
* Be accountable for meeting and exceeding team and personal sales targets and KPIs.
* Listen to the customer to quickly identify their needs and make sound recommendations.
* Be self-driven for learning as a way of improving product knowledge.
* Attend team meetings, training sessions, and participate in educational trips. (Some can be overseas or onboard supplier ships)
* Undertake any other duties or responsibilities allocated to you by your line Manager.
Skills and Experience
* No Experience in travel sales is essential but would be a plus.
* An understanding of sales processes and procedures.
* Willingness to learn about cruise and travel products.
* Good Standard of IT skills including but not limited to Word, Outlook, Excel etc
* Fluency in English. Additional language skills in Danish, Swedish or Norwegian would be a plus.

* Have a positive and hard-working mentality and enjoy working as part of a team.
* Thrives in a sales environment, working under pressure, and is self-motivated to achieve performance targets.
* Excellent attention to detail and understanding of the impact of errors.
* The ability to adapt to different people, customers, challenges, and ways of working.
