Cast is Doncaster’s only professional theatre, launched in 2013 as the anchor of the town’s Cultural and Civic Quarter. In a relatively short time, it has significantly contributed to the cultural life of Doncaster, presenting staged works, delivering participation and outreach activities for people of all ages and experience, supporting the development of artists, offering outdoor performance and delivering community-based projects. We are part of the Doncaster Culture & Leisure Trust. The successful applicant will: • assist with get-ins and get-outs, & unloading and loading of visiting company vehicles. • assist or carry out all aspects of lighting/sound and stage related activity during get-ins, fit-ups, rehearsals, performances and get-outs, in Cast spaces and elsewhere for visiting and in-house productions, performances and events, as directed by the Technical Managers and Multi-skilled Technicians • operate technical equipment as required for performances, rehearsals or events, including, counterweight flying system, stage elements and follow spots. • assist in maintenance of lighting, sound and stage equipment or machinery, accessories and installed systems · assist in the maintenance of lighting, sound and electrical equipment within Cast ensuring they are maintained and tested according to Cast standard operating procedures. • assist with keeping a stock of general technical consumables available for use, and notifying the Technical Managers when stocks need replenishing • h elp to ensure that all staff and visiting companies are working safely, especially when working at height and take responsibility for upholding good working practices across the organisation.
